My work attempts to capture moments of life. As an artist, I seek to discover new places, diverse people and provide the opportunity to experience the sublimity of life’s intimate and ordinary moments. Through the utilization of photographs as a guide,I utilize watercolor technique to translate positivity into an experience with which my viewers can connect.

Each composition invites viewers into the experience of my subject matter. My process uses a planned combination of light watercolor washes and transparent overlays in an effort to transform my subject matter from paint into the moment’s reality. The characterization of my subject matter intends to express a certain closeness through the color choices, transparent, semi-transparent and opaque details of the multilayered scenes. The overall desire is to convey the feeling of the relationship I have with the people and places in hopes that my viewers experience a positive emotional connection. I choose to paint the world with a positive lens.
