Marlo seeks in her soul and translates on canvas, alla prima, intuitively the essence of whatever she feels has to be expressed such as humanity’s emotional pulsations or her personal varied life’s experiences working in diverse fields and living in 9 different countries, languages and mentalities, impressions, atmospheres, vibrations embeded in her inner mind whose emotional spark she captures on canvas. She discovered the pleasure and joy of painting and writing when 12 years old. Years later she studied art at University of Califiornia at Los Angeles, very keen on furthering personal creativity . When living in Rome 4 years, she immerged herself into the study of Italy’s great Renaissace masters and their usage of color and composition to confer meaning and emotion to an artwork that she adopts to her contemporary art. Those are the two poles of her as well poetry as she is also a many prized poet, with whatever adequate means, be ir oil, acrylic, pastels, watercolors or inks. Painting is an emotional outlet that has saved her already several times, always a joy, a challenge and a sort of meditation that give her strength and a deep feeling of swimming in humanity’s relentless flow, a vitality and strengh, increasing her sensitiveness as years pass.
She started exhiting in 2002, on the international level since 2017 and is now a recognized emerging avantguard artist of Contemporary art, a many prized artist in Italy, the U.S.A. and London, participating in the major European Art Biennials and Art fairs in the USA and figuring in many prestigious Art books such as Mondadori’s ARTISTS’19 and ‘20 and WOA World Of ART, London books on MOMA and GUGGENHEIM books, New York. Her works are presented in galleries in Europe and the USA and in special exhibitions like Unesco Center Bologna « Women’s essence » exhibition for the award « Woman in Art » within the United Nations programm for gender equality. Her works hae also been seen in museums in Italy, Barcelona and Denmark on permanent exhibition. She has received nunerous prizes and Awards as has been chosen Artist of the Year in 2019 and twice in 2020. She ended finalist int three world contests in the USA and Paris.
